How the website is developing and site updates

cleaning ‘ouse Comments

So I’m changing thinks up a bit… I turned off the twitter digests. Felt a little overkill. Put a new theme up. I need to be a little better on some quality posts…

I was hoping to track down an iPhone tomorrow — I’m hoping that it won’t be too difficult.

google design Comments

I hadn’t thought about it this way, but this is a good overview of the influence Google’s search algorithms have on web design.  After seeing this, you’ll start to see the sheer number of websites that follow the same model/design… and this can all be traced back to Google!  Such ugly, cluttered designs too.
Another thing [...]

lets call it for what it is Comments

Basically this is on hiatus until the middle of September (when we finally settle into our apartment on campus).  I have a bunch of posts queued up, but no time/energy to follow up with them on a regular basis.  I promise this will become lively again soon =) (hell, its only a few weeks anyway).
We’re [...]

comments in limbo, new amp Comments

Sorry about that. When I changed hosts, I was able to start using Wordpress’ Akismet plugin for spam, and didn’t realize that it had different rules for comment moderation. All comments should be out there now =)
Things are still crazy here… adjusting to a new job, acclimated to a new apartment… you know, [...]

Anyway.  I’ve moved hosts, so hopefully things will be nicer now… more responsive and less unknown [...]

damn you ie Comments

Obviously do one who reads this uses Internet Explorer or they would have mentioned (hopefully) that my little drop case trick doesn’t work in IE. This is the CSS I’m currently using:
p.dc:first-letter {
float: left;
font-size: 2.5em;
text-transform: uppercase;
font-weight:bold;
font-family: Georgia, Times, Verdana;
line-height: 0em;
color:#707070;
}
It looks as though IE7 does support the :first-letter pseudo class, but the box model [...]

Testing out upgraded Gallery Comments

So I took the plunge. Couldn’t help my self. Things look good so far. I’ll keep you posted.  I really like the keyword based galleries.  I’ll now have to update all the images.  The crappy part is that I’ve already categorized all my images in iMatch… I wish I could just export [...]
